The Missing Chancleta and Other Top-Secret Cases

Flaca's chancleta, or flip flop, has gone missing! She prepares to investigate the theft! She interviews each of her family members, all of whom are suspects. Oddly, their stories check out, so Flaca will have to dig deeper to find the culprit.

The Coqui and the Iguana

The Coquí & the Iguana is a book about a young girl's nighttime adventure to one of Puerto Rico's bioluminescent bays. To ease her apprehension about the trip, her cousin tells her a story about a native frog, the coquí, and an iguana. The story and main character's personal experience demonstrate to the reader that it is important to have a positive outlook when confronting unfamiliar situations.
